- A patented Benchmade exclusive, AXIS possess already been turning minds and winning fans ever before since its introduction. A 100-percent ambidextrous design, AXIS gets its function from a tiny, hardened metallic bar which rides forward and back a slot machined into both steel liners. The bar expands to both edges associated with knife, spanning the liners and positioned over the rear of the knife. It activates a ramped, tang portion of the blade blade when it is opened.
